Is this the right option for your business? That may come down to your budget, in terms of time and capital. Free standing molds cost more and take a much longer time to build. Building time may range from three to eight weeks. Even so, multi-cavity parts can save you money on parts, over time.
Insert Molds
This option involves the use of a core side insert and cavity side that works well with standard mold bases. It works best for companies planning to manufacture smaller and less complex parts in low quantities. The design may also help companies improve production and lead time.

The Injection Molding Process

Step One: Clamping

Step Four: Ejection
